b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support students success and innovation.
This was a blog I created for a class in my graduate program. Blogs like this can be used to collaborate with other colleagues and to keep track of ideas I found along my substitute teaching experiences. Revisiting this particular blog I realize the importance of documenting things you come across that may be useful for future classes. I actually have returned to this blog to look at assignments to incorporate into my classroom.
c. Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats.
This is an assignment I completed that required me to look at social networks and their potential in the classroom. The use of social networks can vary from teacher to teacher. Social networks can allow teachers to to communicate information to parents and students in many formats like blogs, websites, social accounts, etc.

d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.
|
I created this screencast to model a new digital tool for students to use. Reading eggs is an educational website that students can analyze and evaluate their own learning. As a teacher you are able to monitor the student's progress and see the areas the student is needing more help on.
|
This is an example of a video I use with my students to promote discussion that allows me evaluate their learning. This short does not contain any words so students have to predict feelings and plot development. Through their participation I am able to see who is understanding the particular reading strategy we are working on.
