ISTE-T 5 Engage in professional growth and leadership
a. Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning.
Pinterest is not only something I use in my personal life but in my professional life. I created this specific Pinterest account to be used for my educational pins and ideas. The boards are sorted by each Common Core Math Standard and other professional needs. When I'm looking for ways to differentiate my teaching, especially in math, I turn to Pinterest. I'm often led to educational blogs and articles that help keep me up to date on all the different teaching techniques and learning styles.
b. Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shares decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others.
This is a screen shot of the website I created to collaborate with my team members. The goal was to have a place where we could collaborate and discuss the different ways to teach math, implement new curriculum, and team building. Technology is a rising element in my district and my school is working to use it in many different ways. This was just one idea that I had to encourage technology in my grade level.
c. Evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning.
This paper reflects on issues such as security, data, and privacy. These issues continually change with the rise of technology. As an educator, it is my job to constantly reflect on how the educational world is changing and how it will affect my students. Many technology tools can aid us in these issues and this paper looks at how to use those tools and properly address things like security, data, and privacy.

d. Contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community.

This is a presentation I developed for my Instructional Design class. The intention is that I could use it as a staff development for my whole school or just my grade level team. This presentation could be presented at the beginning of the year to make decisions for the school year and our math routines.
